Empowering Widows and Orphans: Dr. Folashade Ayoade’s Lifeline of Hope

FAIWO

Over 100 widows in Kogi State have received life-changing empowerment through the Folashade Ayoade Initiative for Widows and Orphans (FAIWO), a humanitarian project founded by Pastor Dr. (Mrs.) Folashade Arike Ayoade, Secretary to the Kogi State Government. The initiative, in collaboration with the Make Me Elegant Foundation, is committed to restoring dignity and hope to widows and orphans across the state.

Speaking at the empowerment event, Dr. Ayoade revealed that the outreach was part of activities marking the 50th birthday celebration of His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello, former Governor and APC leader in Kogi State. She described the gesture as a tribute to his meritorious service and a way to amplify the voices of widows in society.

💬 “Widows deserve to be seen, heard, and supported,” Dr. Ayoade said. “This initiative is not just about charity—it’s about giving them the tools to thrive.”

She urged the women to remain resilient, prayerful, and committed to raising responsible children, regardless of their circumstances.

In a heartfelt interview, Dr. Ayoade expressed deep gratitude to both former Governor Yahaya Bello and incumbent Governor Alhaji Usman Ododo for the opportunity to serve the state. She described her role as a divine calling to uplift the less privileged, both within and beyond Kogi State.

The Founder of Make Me Elegant Foundation reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to supporting FAIWO’s mission, pledging continued collaboration to uplift widows and orphans now and in the future.

🎤 Several beneficiaries, including widows and orphans, shared emotional testimonies, praising Dr. Ayoade’s compassion and generosity. They offered prayers for her continued strength and divine blessings.
