About Us

Folashade Ayoade Initiative for Widows and Orphans (FAIWO)
is a Nigerian non-governmental organisation (NGO), formally
registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission in 2018
dedicated to empowering widows, orphans and marginalised
communities to reclaim their rights and dignity. Through
advocacy, economic empowerment programs, capacity
building workshops, and human rights initiatives, we equip vulnerable groups with the tools to combat discrimination,
achieve self-reliance, and actively participate in society.
Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development
Goals (SDGs 1, 5, 8, 10, and 16), FAIWO’s outcome-driven interventions from microfinance support to legal aid— transform
systemic barriers into opportunities for leadership and productivity. Rooted in grassroots action, we strive to create a world
where no widow or orphan is defined by loss, but by their
ability to thrive.
